A first session with me costs $50 as a way to feel out what a full session with me will typically feel like. After that, the price per session is $150 for individuals 13 and up, or $160 for children 12 and under, as well as families/two or more clients in ongoing sessions.
Yes! I always start with a phone consultation before beginning therapy. These are free and typically last 15-25 minutes. This is a chance for both of us to feel each other out and decide if we are a good fit.
I am not paneled with any insurance. I do offer Superbills which can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. This is not something that all insurances will allow with therapy, and some have stipulations and/or specific requirements. So I heavily encourage contacting your insurance about Superbills before beginning therapy.
My work schedule and hours are subject to change, but currently my therapy hours are:
Monday: 2pm-8pm
Tuesday: 12pm-6:30pm
Wednesday: 9am-5pm
Thursday: 9am-1pm
Specific availability changes so feel free to reach out and inquire about current availability.
Yes. Confidentiality is extremely important to me and something that I expect out of my own providers. There are times where I may seek out supervision/consultation to best support my ability to offer you the best services I can. These are only done with your permission and are discussed in our first session.
I maintain a 72 hour cancellation policy. Any adjustments made to the scheduled time slot after the 72 hour mark are subject to a cancellation billed at the price of the scheduled session.
Diagnosis is a tool used to best assist an individual's path to healing and growth. There are multiple reasons an individual may desire to have or not have a diagnosis. A diagnosis is something we get to discuss in therapy. I typically do not default to giving someone a clinical diagnosis.
Checking people into a clinic or hospital, or making mandated reports are not an every session ordeal. My goal is to care for you as best as I can, and that includes keeping surprises to a minimum or non-existent. What gets you reported is something I take very seriously and is discussed in the first session, but can also be addressed during our consultation. I do nothing behind my clients' backs.
Different therapies have different lengths. I have had therapy relationships healthily complete after 8 weeks, and have some that last over 3 years. The longevity of therapy is dependent on a multitude of factors. This is something that can always be discussed before or during the process. My approach generally, but not always, leads to more long-term therapy.
Our sessions last for 45 minutes, with 90 minute sessions being available as well.
My recommendation when beginning therapy is to start weekly, at least for the first 4 sessions. I have found that this is a helpful way to establish the therapeutic relationship and set the groundwork for your therapy. Outside of that, I typically recommend weekly, many people prefer biweekly. Other frequencies are possible too, including multiple sessions per week, and sessions spread out more than biweekly. This is something the two of us would discuss and figure out early on.
